Welcome to the NIGEL IRENS DESIGN website.

Here is a taste of some of the projects we have been involved in over recent years. As you will notice they are a fairly mixed bag - from 60ft racing trimarans displacing 5.3 tonnes to a 62ft gaff schooner which weighs in at 35 tonnes!

We feel that there is, nonetheless, a common link between them - they are all boats designed for owners who are exacting in their requirements and are in search of a vessel for a specific purpose.

There is no shortage of mainstream production boats available in the world, but if you are looking for something out of the ordinary we would like to hear from you.

Our passion for quiet, comfortable and fuel-efficient powerboats is explained in the June 2009 edition of BOAT INTERNATIONAL, and we are pleased to present a new website which is intended to expand on the published text.
