LT 40

The LT40 launch was designed by Nigel Irens to respond to his own personal quest to find perfect boat for exploring the coasts, rivers and estuaries of the UK's West Country.

Displacing only 3.5 tonnes this boat has only simple 'weekend' style accommodation but is even more slippery that the RANGEBOAT and can cruise at 11 knots with a 40 hp engine.

The transom has a gate allowing the tender to be carried in the cockpit while at sea. Once in harbour the tender can be launched and the space in the vast cockpit is available for 'Terrace Living' with a table and chairs - or a pair of sun loungers. 

The cockpit can be protected by a canvas sun awning - or as weather protection in less sunny conditions. Rolling down side screens turns the whole cockpit into a massive extra cabin to accommodate as many grandchildren as you can muster !
